DESCRIPTION:In 2025 Water Ski Days is upping the ante with brand new water ski programming  presented by Treasure Island Resort and Casino! \nFriday\n \n10am Get on the Water: The USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Foundation and the Big Pine Lake Water Ski Team are once again hosting a free event for people\, especially youth\, to learn to water ski in Lake City\, Minnesota. Registration is limited\, sign up here\n\n\n\n\n5pm Thrill Show: A new event in 2025\, a thrill show that is a heartfelt tribute to the remarkable legacy of Ralph Samuelson\, the true pioneer of waterskiing. All the performers are professional water skiers from the Tommy Bartlett show in Wisconsin Dells\, ready to amaze the audience with their incredible skills. You’ll be on the edge of your seat as they execute jaw-dropping waterski jumps and fearless barefooting. The elegance and grace of the girls on swivel skis will impress everyone\, while the thrilling pyramids and death-defying aerial performances showcase the ultimate in athleticism. This event not only highlights the artistry of the sport but also honors Ralph’s lasting impact on the waterskiing community. \n\n\nSaturday\n\n\n9am Jump Competition: Get ready for the inaugural Ralph Samuelson Freestyle Jump Competition! The event will start at 9 am with the intermediate division\, showcasing the talent of up-and-coming skiers. Following that\, we’ll feature the female divisions\, and then the male division will take to the water. Join us to witness high-flying jumps\, thrilling spills\, and numerous historic moments as skiers from across the globe and the USA compete for top placements and an array of prizes. This competition promises to be a remarkable celebration of waterskiing excellence while honoring Ralph Samuelson’s enduring legacy. \n\n\n\n3pm Ski Team Show: After the jump competition\, the Rochester Ski Dox water ski team will take the stage\, showcasing their impressive skills and teamwork. Expect to be thrilled as they perform barefooting\, jaw-dropping jumps\, and stunning pyramids\, all designed to keep you on the edge of your seat. Their strength and synchronization will create an exhilarating atmosphere\, making this performance a highlight of the event that you won’t want to miss! \nSunday\n\n12pm Ski Team Show: In case you missed Saturday afternoon ski show. Their performances are a full sensory experience\, an invitation to vibe\, dance\, and lose yourself in the moment.\nEach member brings their own unique charisma and style\, creating a dynamic stage presence that keeps the crowd captivated from start to finish. With precision musicianship and undeniable chemistry\, Rhino doesn’t just perform—they curate an atmosphere where every song feels like an event. And when the drums kick into overdrive? When they hit the stage\, you’re not just watching—you’re part of something unforgettable. \nShine Through is an anthemic collection of modern rock forged in fiery emotional urgency. Their new Self-Titled album was released in June of 2022.\nThe band’s fateful career moment came when engineer/producer Brian Johnson—who helmed the sessions for the band’s first two albums—passed along a CD to .38 Special keyboardist Bobby Capps\, who now manages the band. Impressed\, Capps shared it with 3 Doors Down guitarist Chris Henderson\, his partner in Nashville\, TN-based Rivergate Studios. Capps immediately signed on to produce Strange Daze with Henderson’s and Johnson’s help. Says Henderson of Strange Daze: “They’re a refreshing band! Love the vibe and the songwriting. Scott’s vocals are very powerful.” Capps concurs\, adding\, “Strange Daze was a pleasant surprise in the studio! It’s been a while since I’ve come across a band that has such a tight grip on straightforward rock music. Lyrically and musically\, they do not try to over complicate the listener. They are a truly talented band and prove it live every time they hit the stage.” The album has a crisp and punchy production aesthetic\, highlighting the group’s expansive dynamic range. “The biggest thing I loved about the producers is that they gave their opinion\, but they never forced their hand on who we are. They just made our music come alive\,” Strange Daze guitarist/vocalist Eric Moudry says. Kirk Kelsey\, best known for co-producing/engineering landmark albums for Creed and 3 Doors Down\, stokes the album’s burning potency with his richly dimensional mix engineering. Strange Daze has gigged extensively throughout Minnesota and the Midwest\, averaging 100-plus shows a year and selling out of its first two CDs\, exceeding 10\,000 in sales with no label involvement or formal distribution outlet. The quartet reached #9 on CMJ’s Top 200\, beating out superstar artists like No Doubt and OutKast. Additionally\, Strange Daze has charted on 30-plus stations. The band has been played on more than 250 stations nationwide and several stations across Europe.
