With guitar\, mandolin\, banjo\, harmonica\, and a clear stout-hearted voice Bill delights audiences with folk\, country and old-time music. \nBill is a full-time musician who bought his first guitar the day he graduated high school. He learned music in Waterloo and Iowa City\, Iowa\, by listening to recordings and playing with such masters as Al Murphy and Bob Black. He has been a full-time professional musician since 1987\, performing at colleges and schools across the United States and many parks\, including Yellowstone National Park. \nBill has recorded two classic collections of old-time fiddle tunes with fiddler Tom Schaefer\, banjo player Bob Black\, and bassist Sandy Njoes. He appeared on Greg Brown’s recording Down in There. He has also released several outstanding albums with Stu Janis\, hammered dulcimer\, in Greenwood Tree. \nBill’s music fits in well with many different occasions. He is a favorite at senior centers\, high rises\, and care centers throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul region. He entertains at historic sites\, bluegrass festivals\, weddings\, farmers’ markets\, coffee houses\, and family outings\, among others. Some of his proudest moments are when he performs with his daughter\, Sarah\, as Pride of the Prairie. \nIt’s just like Bill says… \n…Music of All Ages for All Ages

Munson’s long career as a solo touring musician has garnered a devoted fan base and a reputable place within the bustling Minnesota music scene.\nThe Mike Munson Trio is an incomparable rhythm section of three where Munson is joined by Nick Salisbury on bass and Lars-Erik Larson on drums. Together they explore Munson’s newest original compositions\, transportive jazz-like instrumentals and tragic Americana ballads\, exhibiting a symmetry that is easy on the ears. The group relishes live performance where the nightly set list will include familiar songs encountered from a new angle\, expanding or contracting arrangements depending on the inclination of the players. Free will donations welcomed.\nPrelude: 1:30 – 2:15 The afternoon will begin with a prelude featuring Lisa Wallerich\, family\, and friends\, performing a variety of piano solos and duets.\nDueling Pianos: 2:30 – 3:30 Musicians Jon Davis and Jason Wright will perform an hour of relaxing jazz dueling piano.\nJon Davis – Jon has a bachelor of arts in music (emphasis in piano performance) from Mankato State University\, plays piano for a big band in Rochester called Swing Street\, frequently plays with D’Sievers jazz combo in various venues\, and has been the pianist and/or musical director for over 80 musicals.\nJason Wright – Jason is a Music Teacher and Composer/Arranger of relaxing familiar piano music. Jason’s 6 easy listening piano albums found on all streaming services represent a spiritual connection to the church music he grew up to love. Jason has a Bachelor of Arts in vocal music education from Luther College\, has been featured as an O’Neill Brothers musician and editor\, previous director of the Park Rapids Classic Chorale\, has taught in K-12 music education for more than 20 years publicly and privately\, and has been the pianist/musical director for over 10 HS and community musicals.
