Jacci Clark Exhibit

Eyes of the Woods Exhibit by Jacci Clark is opening Friday August 19 and will go to September 10, 2022.  Jacci Clark, a watercolor artist, hails from Plainview, Minnesota. Jacci minored in graphic arts in college, but her path took a different turn when she started working in the medical field. In 2018, after a 34-year hiatus from art, she took up her pencil and started drawing again.

Jacci’s niche is capturing the expression in a subject’s eyes, whether it is of a person, animal, or bug. “Get the eyes right and you’ve captured the soul,” shesays. Her portraits were initially done in charcoal and graphite pencil with the goal of giving as realistic and detailed representation as possible. Eventually she transitioned to watercolor. Jacci found watercolor requires a different mindset. She now paints in a loose, almost reckless, fashion, letting the watercolor work its magic.

Artist  Reception will take place Saturday, 9/10 at 5 PM.  Please come and meet the artists and enjoy some refreshments and light appetizers.
