Lake City Incorporation Day

Saturday, February 26, 2022 is the 150th Anniversary of the Incorporation of Lake City! To celebrate this momentous occasion, the 150th Sesquicentennial Committee is inviting the community to the Celebration! Please join us on Saturday at the High School for an afternoon of events. From 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. will be historical displays and music in the foyer of the High School. At 2:00 p.m. the program will begin and will include Mayor Nichols and Representative Angie Craig, music by the high school band and choir, an amazing slideshow presentation, readings and so much more. After the program, from approximately 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. you will be able to continue to enjoy the historical displays in the High School foyer that were put together by 15 different individuals and organizations of Lake City. Also, at 1:45 you will hear the ringing of the City Hall bells and at 4:30 we invite you to join City Hall and the Churches of Lake City in ringing the bells by ringing a bell of your own.
